When it comes to Easter, the onslaught of fluffy bunnies and Cadbury's cream eggs equals commercial Groundhog Day. Sign us up for some for something a little off-piste that keeps both adult and kid schtum; cue The Alice in Wonderland Afternoon Tea (with champers) at the Conrad London St. James.
On Easter Sunday (5 April) the hotel will offer an interactive family afternoon tea in Emmeline’s. From 1.30 to 5pm, the spread includes ‘painting the roses red’ cakes and the Queen of Hearts famous jam tarts - complete with playing card tops.
Alice and friends will be on hand to entertain with magic tricks from the Mad Hatter, while the interactive decorating station in the middle of the room will keep urchins busy so you can kick-back with a glass of bubbles. Easter Sunday; sorted.
Easter Sunday Afternoon Tea is available for adults at £35pp with a complimentary glass of champagne served at the table and children at £15pp with buffet style Alice in Wonderland afternoon tea.
