Run by designers Sarah Weston and her husband Jon, Buddy + Bear offers welcome respite from the headache-inducing primary hues that usually adorn kiddie stuff.

"As a mama, I became more aware that kids don't always need brash colours and loud noises to stimulate them," says Sarah. "Sometimes it's the pussy cat's whiskers or an unusual texture that captures their gaze."

The cute-as brand's style of bold, yet subtle simplicity works to recreate that sense of sweet childhood with a funny twist.

From egg cups with rabbit faces to baby clothes with 'Silent night. Yeah right' written on them, this is our new favourite kiddie spot.
