MUM'S THE WORD

The super savvy (and super fit) founder of That's my Mum blog, Adrienne Herbert used to be a West End dancer before turning her perfectly-honed pins to personal training. Now a mum (to Jude) on the run, she knows how to get that post-preggers booty into shape with her arsenal of recipes, tips and fitness intel. In short, we love.

Number of kids?

One. A son, Jude, aged three.

Worst mothering moment?

While walking around a garden centre, Jude and his little mate where chasing each other and playing hide and seek in the conservatories. We had only been potty training for a few weeks and Jude shouted 'Mummy, wee wee!' I looked down to see a large puddle next to a sign that read 'Please do not enter, display only.' Oops

Best mothering moment?

When I am reunited with Jude after his day at pre-school. He comes running out of the door and his face lights up when he sees me.

Dinner party or play date?

Definitely dinner!

Home or away?

Away. We just got back from Sardinia yesterday and I'm already planning our next trip. We love going away and last year we even spent Christmas in a holiday cottage in Suffolk, with eight of our friends and family.

Can’t live without…

My trainers. I'm pretty sure that I have more pairs of trainers than heels these days.

Odd socks and people that wear them.

What’s the last thing you bought?

Pasta, from an italian deli in Sardinia.

Last call?

My little sister. She's a student and can usually be found in the library writing about post colonialism or migration policy. Say what!?

Most pukka thing you own?

Hmm? I have a 12 year old pair of Levi shorts, I still love them and wear them every summer.

Most annoying thing other mother's say?

That once you have kids, your life is 'over'. Of course life does change a lot when you become a Mum, but it doesn't have to mean for the worse.

a blessing. I am so grateful to be called 'Mummy'.
